Stfu Hypocrites

“You don’t have to be pretty. You don’t owe prettiness to anyone. Not to your boyfriend/spouse/partner, not to your co-workers, especially not to random men on the street. You don’t owe it to your mother, you don’t owe it to your children, you don’t owe it to civilization in general. Prettiness is not a rent you pay for occupying a space marked “female”.” —

Anonymous asked: It pisses me of, as a black person, so bad when anti-choicers, who don't really give a shit about black babies or children or people, bring up "black abortion" as if their reason for opposing abortion is some righteous "save the minorities" bullshit. It really pisses me off. I can't even articulate how much it pisses me off.

That’s just it. I mean, republicans are so fucking racist and yet when it comes to abortion, they’ll start comparing it to slavery and pretending like they actually give 2 shits about black people. Like…. you can’t have it both ways assholes.

Anonymous asked: don't you think liberals are more hypocrite---making a big deal about Romney's money but said nothing about Kerry's money in 2004? Calling Palin a cunt?. Supporting abortion of baby girls and black babies (40% abortions to blacks) but its a war on women and repubs hate blacks? Ps I'm not a republican but I hate hypicrisy

Here’s the problem with Romney and his money. It’s not so much that he’s rich that makes it a problem, it’s the fact that he has no connection to the real world. He was born into money, was educated by money, started his career with money…. never knowing what it’s like to be on the poor end of the spectrum, and building something from the ground up. He also drove Bain Capital into the ground, leaving many people unemployed. So this whole idea that he’s a “job creator”? Ya maybe, but also a job destroyer. Not to mention, he keeps pushing for tax cuts for the rich, instead of helping people who weren’t born into the same privileges as he was.

Who calls Palin a cunt? I mean really, if that’s all people have against us when it comes to Palin, that’s the least of her worries. She ran her campaign and her celebrity life based on internalized sexism, so I can hardly cry a crocodile tear for her when someone calls her a cunt.

I don’t think there is a single person on the planet who likes the idea of gender selective abortions. The problem is not the abortion, rather than the attitude that causes people to want to abort female fetuses for being female. For example, in some cultures where dowries are still prevelent, these families look at it like, “do I pay $500 (or whatever it costs) now to abort, or pay $_____ later down the road for someone to marry my daughter?” There needs to be a cultural and attitude shift in terms of valuing females instead of discarding them as useless. Getting rid of gender-selective abortion is only a bandaid solution to the much bigger problem.

Don’t even get me started about black babies being in the most danger when they are in the womb. That is a crock of racist shit right there. Never mind the fact that people are making their own decisions on whether or not to have an abortion, regardless of what race they are. Never mind that black people face so many types of oppression such as socio-economic oppression which would  play a role in them not being able to afford a kid and therefore would need an abortion. Antichoicers and republicans are often so racist. When it comes to abortion they pretend to start caring about black babies, but in the same breath vilify black people on food stamps or social assistance. I mean… ugh.. just ugh.

5 Facts About The Massachusetts Economy Under Mitt Romney | ThinkProgress

tinfoilandtea:

1) Its job growth was poor: Despite Romney’s professed expertise in creating jobs, Massachusetts ranked 47th in job growth during his time as governor. The state’s total job growth was just 0.9 percent, well behind other high-wage, high-skill economies in New York (2.7), California (4.7), and North Carolina (7.6). The national average, meanwhile, was better than 5 percent.

2) Its labor force declined: Only Louisiana, which was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, saw a bigger decline in its labor force than Massachusetts during Romney’s tenure as governor. That decline largely explains the state’s decreasing unemployment rate (from 5.6 to 4.7 percent) while Romney was in office, according to Northeastern University economics professor Andrew Sum. At the same time, the nation as a whole added 8 million people to the labor force.

3) It lost manufacturing jobs at twice the national rate: Massachusetts lost 14 percent of its manufacturing jobs during Romney’s time in office, according to Sum. The loss was double the rate that the nation as a whole lost manufacturing jobs. In 2004, Romney vetoed legislation that would have banned companies doing business with the state from outsourcing jobs to other countries.

4) It was “below average,” “often near the bottom”: “There was not one measure where the state did well under his term in office. We were below average and often near the bottom,” Sum told the Washington Post in February. As a result, the state was more comparable to Rust Belt states like Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio than it was to other high-tech economies it typically competes with.

5) It piled on more debt than any state: Romney left Massachusetts residents with $10,504 in per capita bond debt, the highest of any state in the nation when he left office in 2007. The state ranked second in debt as a percentage of personal income. Romney regularly omits those statistics from his Massachusetts record, instead touting the fact that he balanced the state’s budget (he was constitutionally required to do so). He wouldn’t be much different as president: his proposed tax plan adds more than $10 trillion to the national debt.
